The 2nd World Indigenous Nations Games kicked off July 3rd. The games are being hosted on Treaty Six Territory in Alberta.
There are close to 40 teams from all over the world. Sporting events include: Bow and Arrow, Swimming, Soccer, Canoeing, Long Race, Lacrosse and more.
The 2017 World Indigenous Nations Games opening ceremonies took place Monday evening on treaty six territory at the Maskwacis First Nation, in Alberta.
With close to 40 teams from all over the world, these are the second games; the first took place in Brazil in 2015.
