Sydney, Nova Scotia removes Cornwallis street signs

Following pressure from the Mi’kmaq community, Sydney has removed the Cornwallis name from one of its streets. For years, Daniel Paul of Membertou First Nation lobbied for the removal. Cornwallis was a governor in Nova Scotia who offered a bounty for Mi’kmaq scalps.
