Protected land in Quebec increased in recent deal

In a recent deal with the province of Quebec, the Grand Council of the Crees are announcing further protected lands in their territory. The area has been increased to meet Quebec’s target of 17 per cent of the province protected which equals over twenty percent of Cree territory.
