Nunavut celebrates 25th anniversary of the territory’s creation

Tuesday marks the 25th anniversary of the creation of Nunavut. The Parliament of Canada passed the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act and the Nunavut Act in 1993, but it wasn’t until 1999 that Nunavut was recognized as Canada’s youngest territory.
