Métis Nation of Alberta election will see a new president elected for the first time in 27 years

Today is the first day of voting in the Métis Nation of Alberta general election. Voters have until September 19 to cast ballots for district representatives, and to choose the new president as Audrey Poitras retires after 27 years in office.
