Long-time advocate for federal day school survivors passes away

A long-time advocate for federal day school survivors has passed away. Ray Mason of Peguis First Nation in Manitoba helped launch a class-action lawsuit that resulted in a $1.47-billion settlement suit in 2009. He passed away Sunday after a long illness at the age of 75.
