Long-serving Indigenous leader recognized for his contributions with an award

A long-serving Indigenous leader is being recognized for his contributions to cultural awareness. Dean Sayers served as chief of Batchewana First Nation for 20 years. Recently, he received a municipal heritage award from the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
