Insight into Canadian Human Rights Tribunal hearing

The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal is wrapping up hearings on how victims of the First Nations child welfare system will be compensated. In 2016 the Tribunal announced that each child and some caregivers should receive $40 thousand each. But Canada had another plan. Cindy Blackstock is the Executive Director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society. Her organization is trying to stop a plan by Canada and the Assembly of First Nations to change the compensation order. She joins APTN National News to explain.
