Indigenous Nurses Day acknowledges contributions of Indigenous nurses

Indigenous Nurses Day was founded to honour Edith Monture, a Six Nations woman who was the first Indigenous registered nurse in Canada. The day promotes cultural integrity and acknowledges the contributions of Indigenous nurses.
