Honouring First Nation members who’ve died from COVID-19

The one-year pandemic milestone was marked by a ceremony honouring those who've died of COVID-19 in Manitoba. Grand Chief Arlen Dumas along with other representatives from the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs came together in Winnipeg to sing honour songs. The day before, AMC lit candles for the 151 First Nations people who have died due to COVID-19. They represent 16 per cent of the COVID-19 related deaths in Manitoba.
