First Nations woman wins by a landslide in B.C. by-election

A First Nations woman was elected to B.C.’s legislature over the weekend. According to the Elections B.C. website, NDP candidate Joan Phillip won in a landslide with just under 68 per cent of the vote in the Vancouver-Mount Pleasant constituency.
