First Nations-owned hotel opens its doors in Saskatchewan

The Dakota Dunes Resort on the Whitecap Dakota First Nation in Saskatchewan held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its official opening. The hotel is attached to the Dakota Dunes Casino, which opened in 2007. Chief Darcy Bear of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation says the hotel's official opening is a victory for the seven bands of the Saskatoon Tribal Council that own it.
