Edmonton police officer found guilty of assault during an arrest in 2019

An Edmonton police officer has been found guilty of assaulting an Indigenous man during an arrest in 2019. This video shows Constable Michael Partington dropping his knee on Elliot McLeod’s back. Partington has been suspended without pay since charges were laid last summer.
