DFO, RCMP knew violence was coming but did not protect Mi’kmaw harvesters: Documents

The violence that surrounded the Mi’kmaw moderate livelihood fishery grabbed international headlines last fall. According to government documents obtained by APTN National News, bureaucrats were warned of the potential for violence by angry non-Indigenous lobster fishers, but did nothing to protect Mi'kmaw lobster harvesters.
