In an attempt to honour his homeland, the Toronto Zoo launched a “name our cub” contest for their baby polar bear.
One of the choices was “Searik”, which the Zoo though meant “beautiful” in Inuktitut, but it really didn’t mean anything.
APTN’s Delaney Windigo reports how they fixed the unintentional blunder.
