The Arnaud mining project has been nearly 20 years in the making.

It’s located near Uashat, an Innu community on the north shore of the St. Lawrence river in Quebec.

Mine Arnaud wants to exploit a large deposit of apatite in the Sept-Iles region.

But an open pit mine so near to a populated area is dividing a community.
