Beatrice Hunter, the Inuk grandmother and Labrador land protector who was jailed for defying a judge says she is traumatized, and angry about her experience of being shipped 1,600 km south to a St. John’s jail where she was strip searched.
Beatrice Hunter was released from jail Friday. The Inuk Land Protector who refused to stay away from the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric dam site had been charged with contempt of court for ignoring an injunction barring them from protesting there.
