There is a lot of disagreement when it comes to development in the Yukon’s Peel watershed.
However, one thing all parties involved do agree on is that the present plan is too complicated.
The Peel River planning commission is being asked to redo its proposed land-use plan by the Yukon government and four First Nations.
They say the proposed plan is too complex and not user-friendly.
A year ago, the commission released its draft plan calling for 80 per cent protection.
First Nations want 100 per cent protection.
The governments have asked the commission for a revised plan by July with a final land management plan by October.
