Gee, seems to me that some of the guests are causing the problems that the staff are being blamed for. Alcohol, drugs? That’s not the staff.
Did you not read prior comment? She feared for her safety of her family while staying there for medical treatments. This Hotel has the responsibility of providing a safe environment for its clients. If they cannot be bothered ensuring this then perhaps these patients should be relocated somewhere else. If they are allowing degenerates of any race hang out there, then the staff is just as guilty
This is not the only hotel that takes advantage or mistreats anishenabe people…there is one more that charges more in the west side of the city that has been doing these kind of things for quite some time and nobody believes it is happening there. I used to work there but no longer…and I’ve seen it done and have also heard some of the staff and a couple of management people talk about what they have done or are going to do. Just not right…these hotels should have to undergo close scrutiny before they are allowed to have the privilege of housing sick people. Some sort of screening in any case.
I hope it doesn’t stop there I witness people were getting kicked out woman was being rough up by staff.
We just spent 2 nights here for medical for my father in law and my family witnessed a major fight outside, we were propositioned several times for drugs, seen or heard multiple emergencies and always felt very uncomfortable and unsecure. The staff was nice but the environment was unbearable. We’ve stayed there before but it was never this bad. We will NEVER stay at Quest Inn again. I literally feared for my families safety.
Perhaps something can be set up elsewhere. Cut them off from association with our people. Bring charges against those would be hurting or degrading our people there for help. Seek out others who can band together regarding this issue. It can be done, and our people can do it.
I AGREE, SET THEM UP IN A BETTER HOTEL THAN THIS. I THINK I’VE HEARD IT ALL NOW, WHAT IS GOING ON
IN WINNIPEG??/ IT’S TOO MUCH, MOVE ALL THESE PEOPLE THAT NEED MEDICAL HELP…. WHERE THEY WILL
BE HELPED FOR GOODNESS SAKE.
Not the first time negligence like this has taken place.. and not only does it happen to first nations people.. But to all the other races. I have seen and know well off first hand the poor services which are provided. They are entrusted with providing services to their clients n well… sadly. Some over the years have been let down.. I know this.. I lost my father who was a resident there some years back. I will never forget the phone call I got when they discovered his body in his room.. and the week that followed. A memory with a scar.
