Thousands of Native Americans flocked to a ranch near Dallas, Tex., this week for a special naming ceremony.
The guest of honour was a rare, two-month old white buffalo named Lightning Medicine Cloud.
He got his name for being born during a thunderstorm.
The white buffalo is regarded as sacred in Native American culture and it is believed to have great spiritual importance.
The calf was honoured with prayers, songs and a pipe ceremony.
One one in 10 million buffalo calves are born with the white colouring.
