Two coastal First Nations in B.C. are switching to renewable energy from diesel.
The off-grid communities of Dzawada’enuxw in Kingcome Inlet and Kitasoo/Xai’xais in Klemtu will transition to hydropower with funding from a variety of sources including the province.
The project is expected to cost $25 million.
