An early morning shooting in a community one and a half hours north of Ottawa has left one Algonquin youth dead, and another charged with his murder.
18 year old Bret Jerome from Rapid Lake was found outside a home in the nearby Manikwaki June 5. He was later pronounced dead in hospital, police say.
Amik Mitchell, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder. Mitchell is from Kitigan Zibi.
