Brandon Nolan went from the Little Native Hockey League to the National Hockey League.
Nolan returns every year to the tournament that is now in its 46th year.
“I used to play in this tournament when I was a younger boy. Now, I’m 34 years old and come back every year and hang out with the kids and say hi and hang out at our booth here,” said Nolan, who is now retired. “I love it. It’s the best week of the year for us.”
Over 200 First Nation teams from Ontario are competing the in the tournament.
“Just a lot of fun,” said Keidan Reuben. “You get to meet new people, play different speeds and learn new things.”
