APTN National News
It was a case that hinged on credibility.
William’s Lake RCMP officer Andy Yung was found not guilty of assaulting a First Nations girl Monday.
Despite admitting to striking and choking Jamie Haller in the back of a police car, the judge said because she had been drinking her testimony was unreliable.
It’s left the family and community in shock.
APTN’s Rob Smith has the story.
Maybe her testimony was unreliable, so what?? Officer Andy Yung’s wasn’t — WTF!!! He admitted to striking and choking this woman — fire him now!! Or is this just going to be another case of an animal in the RCMP getting away with it once again, pathetic and the judge should be ashamed —
But a cop with a history of violence against women is totally reliable…sooo much wrong with this verdict…like the logistics? She has him in a choke hold with her legs? How does he have the maneuverability to punch her in the face?? I guess I need someone to draw me a picture…
Why is the title of this article not “RCMP above the law” Really APTN you would think you would at least stick up for our people
That is crap because a person can be drunk and still remember everything!
Wow, this is simply disgusting!! Shame on the RCMP!!
