According to US media reports, the suspect in a school shooting that killed 3 students in Washington state is a Native American youth named Jaylen Ray Fryberg.
NBC News says Fryberg entered a school cafeteria early this afternoon and opened fire with a small handgun. He killed 3 students before apparently turning the gun on himself.
Several photos from social media accounts allegedly belonging to Fryberg show the freshman in traditional regalia – but several show him holding firearms. It appears Fryberg was an avid hunter.
It’s unclear from the reports what tribe Fryberg was from.
