Spence's protest shows need for reconciliation

Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence officially ended her six-week fast on Thursday.

People all over the country are acknowledging her determination to raise awareness of the day-to-day injustice faced by Aboriginal people.

Marie Wilson, one of the three commissioners of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, understand’s Spence’s gesture.
