Saskatoon woman recalls the day she was sterilized against her will

Sylvia Tuckanow gave birth to her sixth child 14 years ago.

Unlike for many it’s not a day she looks back on fondly.

Within an hour of having the baby, Tuckanow said she was on the operating table having tubal ligation surgery against her will.
