Chief David Poitras of the Salt River First Nation says that the Akaitcho Territory Government is too focused on its land claim, and that his community would be better off if it left the group.
Salt River settled its own land claim in 2002, and Poitras says that Akaitcho’s focus on its land claim “without any input at any of these tables”.
