While the federal government believes the $4.5 billion purchase of Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline is good for Canada, federal opposition parties don’t quite agree.

While the federal government believes the $4.5 billion purchase of Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline is good for Canada, federal opposition parties don’t quite agree.

Finance Minister Bill Morneau said the project is approved, and will go-ahead on schedule.

But one party says the project is saddling taxpayers with an unnecessary financial burden – another says Indigenous rights are being trampled on.

    The world is changing fast. But gas and oil are still needed. Ottawa did the right thing. Let’s move on and get this built.
