A six-month police investigation into an alleged drug distribution network into northern Ontario communities has led to 55 people charged and a large amount of drugs seized.
The OPP and Nishnawbe-Aski police led the investigation, dubbed Project COAST, that focused on the Timmins and Chapleau area and James Bay coastal communities.
Investigators found drugs sold in the remote communities could sell at four times the price compared to urban centres.
Twenty-one search warrants were executed earlier this month in northern and eastern Ontario.
Police seized:
• 57,792 methamphetamine tablets,
• 7,229 oxycodone pills,
• 706 grams of cocaine,
• 476.6 grams of marihuana, and
• 154.25 fentanyl patches.
Police also seized more than $250,000, a shotgun and a bulletproof vest.

So let us call the police if u know someone in the business of selling drugs to our most precious, the children and the adults who are doing drugs in front of their children check your self in to rehabs there is help for everyone. We need to stop blaming others for our stupidity, if u have money for drugs then u have money for clothes for children, putting them in activities they enjoy eh.
