Demonstrations Wednesday were mostly peaceful with just a few scattered incidents of harsh words and some arguing.
But it was another story in Fort Frances, Ont., when a driver tried to push aside a group of round dancers.
A peaceful flash mob of round dancers were temporarily blocking an intersection when one driver began pushing them aside.
A woman was slightly injured and the OPP has said the incident is under investigation.
I dislike seeing innocent elders and children would get run over by crazy irritate people on the street, please be wisdom. I care about beautiful people and beautiful song. Idle No More be positive for the next generation please. peace
wrong place and wrong time. I dislike to see them round dance on street that will irritate non aboriginal people. I don’t want to see round dancers get hurt or run over by angry drivers. thinking about your family and children, be Positive please. IDLE NO MORE!
That truck had enough room to go around either way! He drove into them deliberately.
ASSAULT, ASSAULT,ASSAULT, but will the police conduct a proper investigation?, yet to be seen i guess. Maybe this driver thought he was nice and safe behind a computer screen, where almost anything can be said. Maybe the driver was late for the liquor store, who knows, maybe hate was the motive?
Please, please, please, please, please do not assign the officers investigating murdered or missing Aboriginal women; cuz apparently they suck at it.
it was attempted murder, pure and simple.
I can’t believe it was illegal to kill a native at one point in history.
“Pushing” someone with a vehicle is still assault just as if you “push” them with a baseball bat.
Stand your ground and stand strong! no matter what they throw at us stand your ground, proud of you all!!!
Same thing happened here in Sioux Lookout, ON. A burgundy Dodge with a ski-doo in the back. My 13 & 14 year old boys didn’t budge for the person. The driver just reversed and went the other way.
BE STRONG!
ignorant people with no respect at all
what about the one in edmonton, it was a blue truck, did the same thing
Get a license plate number and call police, would have been the wisest thing to do.
