It’s out with the old and in with the new.
Visitors to the Northwest Territories will no longer have to wait to cross the mighty Mackenzie River.
That’s because a new bridge is set to open this week to replace the winter ice road and ferry service.
One of the territory’s hardest working ships, the Merv Hardie Ferry, will soon become a thing of the past.
