Lana Fontaine is struggling with the loss of her baby girl Jeanenne Fontaine.
“She was the most loving, most beautiful, just fun loving, bubbly crazy little girl,” said the grieving mother.
Jeanenne, 29, was murdered in her Winnipeg home earlier this week.
The family says she was shot in the back of the head and then her house set on fire – on purpose.
It’s a home she shared with her mom.
If the Fontaine name sounds familiar it’s because over the past 12 years they’ve seen their fair share of pain.
Jeanenne’s dad, Dennis Junior St. Paul, and Lana’s partner, was shot dead by police in the northern Manitoba community of Norway House in 2005.
Her uncle, Eugene Fontaine, was beaten to death on Hallowe’en night in 2011.
That’s Tina Fontaine’s dad.
The 15-year-old made headlines in 2014 when the little girl’s body was pulled from Winnipeg’s Red River in black plastic wrap.
Lana, who has lost a partner, brother, niece and now a daughter in the last dozen years is without a home.
