Two separate summits took place in Winnipeg last week and while they looked at the same issue of missing and murdered Aboriginal women they had different opinions on how to address the problem.
The National Aboriginal Woman’s Summit was held by Assembly of Manitoba’s Chiefs.
While this was going on the province held one of their own but the doors were closed to the public unlike NAWS.
It’s not clear if the information will be shared between both summits.
