Joan Jack is a lawyer from the Berens River First Nation in northern Manitoba.
Jack says she’s an expert at taking traditional legal systems and giving them expression in the modern legal environment and it’s something she’s done for a number of First Nations across the country.
Jack is considering running for national chief of the AFN.
She spoke to APTN in the network’s Winnipeg studio.
