For the past few weeks, Perimeter Airlines has been blaming the weather in Manitoba for cancelled flights, delays and stranded passengers.
But according to Grand Chief Sheila North Wilson the company admitted weather was not the problem.
“We did get a little bit more … closer to the truth when they talked about the inspections that they voluntarily did that started the backlog in the first place,” said North Wilson.
Some of the people on these flights were coming to Winnipeg for medical purposes.
North Wilson is demanding the airline issue a public apology.
