Excellent! Glad to hear it! I wondered how long it would take before someone challenged the provincial tobacco policy or law going onto the reserve. I once wrote a letter to someone (can’t remember who now – a Minister or someone) in the Alberta government to explain to me how they can say my Indian status card is not good enough to buy tax exempt tobacco but I had to have a PROVINCIAL tax exemption card!!?? What I got back was a letter in legaleze that I doubt even many lawyers could understand.
I will anxiously be awaiting the outcome of this lawsuit.
