Four Innu people have been arrested after blockading the only highway northeast of Quebec City on Sunday night.
Quebec police say to expect more arrests.
This was the second blockade in 15 days.
The four arrested individuals were part of a group protesting their exclusion from talks around the province’s development plan called Plan Nord.
About 20 young people used trees to block heavy traffic and goods from heading east along Hwy 138 to the Romaine River dam.
The Innu say they have not been consulted about mining, forest and energy resource extraction occurring on their land and that they will continue to fight for their territory.
