Joyce King crosses the Canada-U.S. border for “little tiny things… just continuously”. It’s a part of her daily life in Akwesasne, a Mohawk community that straddles the borders of Ontario, Quebec, and New York. And she always uses her Haudenosaunee passport.
But last month, the Canadian government confiscated that Haudenosaunee passport. And King is still waiting for it to be returned.
