Around this time last year Winnipeg police received a report of a man who had fallen in the Red River. It was Faron Hall, a man who years prior saved a boy from the water.
While looking for Hall’s body police divers found Tina Fontaine, wrapped in a black garbage-like bag or tarp. She had been murdered and dumped in the water.
Friends are remembering Hall this week who was a hero even in death.
