Three days of hearings of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is wrapping up Thursday in Whitehorse.
Over the course of the first public sessions, families shared painful stories of loving their loved ones.
The inquiry will now take the summer to talk with experts on the issue before hearing again from families in the fall.
The families in Whitehorse say the Inquiry still has to gain their trust going forward.
