First Nation student gets top award

A First Nations student has received top honours from a national education association.

Madge Munday was named student of the year by the National Association of Career Colleges.

Munday is from Beardy’s Okemasis First Nation and was invited to Parliament Hill to accept the award.

Munday says the journey was a struggle, but worth it.
