A British Columbia mining company has told the Canadian government – First Nation prayers are inappropriate at public hearings.
That’s just one of the surprising claims made by officials with Taseko Mining – as they enter into a new round of public hearings on a bid to dig a gold mine in central B.C.
The mine is opposed by the Chilcotan whose traditional territory would be infringed on.
But as APTN’s Rob Smith explains – the growing uproar over Taseko’s letter is spreading.
this how they did it in the beggining they feared the first nations spiritualty thats why they killed us !! but we werent there for anything but the truth at gatherings or meeting with the europeans .. we first nation people will not allow this to happen again! if this happens?? we should shut down the buisness cause we are rightful owners of what goes on here!! you dont here stephen harper making any complaints about this when he meets with the first nations he knows whats in store for him when he meets us!! so to the NC atleo stop this because its our right for our people to keep moving forward.
