Advocates in Manitoba are now fundraising to try and raise money for the lawyer representing Craig McDougall’s family.
McDougall was shot and killed by Winnipeg police eight years ago.
Manitoba Justice is paying for the Crown Attorney. The lawyer representing the Winnipeg Police is being paid out of the police budget but there is no money available from the government for a lawyer for the family.
And that is typical for inquests in the province.
