The son of revered First Nations leader Elijah Harper is in a coma at a B.C. hospital following an attack by three people, APTN National News has learned.
APTN spoke with Harper by phone, and Harper says that his son Grant was in Kelowna studying diving dynamics when the attack occurred. Police and family aren’t sure who was behind the attack, or if it was racially motivated.
Elijah Harper is best known for saying “No” to the Meech Lake Accord when he was a member of the provincial legislature in Manitoba.
