The first known case of COVID-19 has been diagnosed in an Indigenous community in Canada.
The result was announced Thursday in Kahnawake Mohawk territory, just south of Montreal.
The patient is a doctor at Kateri Memorial Hospital, who cancelled seeing patients and self-isolated after returning from a trip to New York City.
