In northern Alberta a blockade is underway by members of the Dene Suline, a part of Cold Lake First Nation.
Around 30 people are occupying a site that’s supposed to become part of a provincial recreation area.
Construction crews were scheduled to begin building washrooms, boat launches and power hook-ups.
But blockade members say this will destroy an area of historic importance to the Dene Suline.
