The 33rd Yukon quest international sled dog race is underway.
23 veteran and rookie teams from Canada, the United States, even Japan are on the rugged 1,600 kilometre trail that runs from Alaska to the Yukon.
As Shirley McLean reports, mushers and the dogs have to adapt.
