Shannen’s Dream seemed simple enough: a school for her community of Attawapiskat.
That dream however was a hard fought campaign to get the federal government to pay for it.
While there is a new school in Attawapiskat, Shannen Koostachin wouldn’t live to see it.
She died in a car crash in 2010 at the age of 15.
Today people are remembering the teenager and her dream.
