Two Ipili Indigenous women made the long journey from Papau, New Guinea to Ottawa to highlight abused suffered at the hands of Barrick Gold, a Canadian mining company.
The company offered to remedy a program of money and services.
But the women say it was not completed.
And now they are lobbying the Canadian government.
still sickens me..to think this company can do this to the women and proudly rip thier land apart to make millions!! Hope they get what they deserve!!
Seriously!! Really proud of themselves …i dont wear gold anyways and this makes it all the more reason not to! These poor women and teenagers and maybe younger!! They should be charged..ALOT!! and sued!!
